The Town of Barrington will celebrate its 300th anniversary this year. FCCB would like to participate in the parade (July 23), host a cemetery tour with actors portraying Barrington’s famous folks, and possible other activities. Most events will take place July 23-30, but some will happen each month. If you know of someone with a flat bed or tractor & trailer for the parade, want to create a float or parade entry,  would like to be an actor/actress or guide for the cemetery tour, or if you would like to help in general, please contact Holly Decker at gssdc@aol.com.

Please support our effort to place a historic marker on Rte. 9 at Pine Grove Cemetery for Benjamin Balch, and “Aggie”.  Balch, our third pastor, was a minuteman & first Chaplain of the American Navy.  “Aggie”, an enslaved black girl, was freed & went to live with the Balch family. Please make checks to FCCB and note “Marker.”  Update:

Historic marker invoice: $2120.  Raised so far: $1725.  $395. remaining
